Eddie’s Southtown Donuts

Hiya! Thank you for joining us for the next edition of #CarryoutComedy, our flagship food review segment that has people around St. Louis saying, “what is that?” We haven't done donuts or breakfast in a while (for this segment at least!), so we decided to checkout Eddie's Southtown Donuts (black-owned business), off of Kingshighway, in the Southhampton/Bevo Mills area. They have online ordering setup, but we found it much easier to just walk right in; we went with 4 donuts (1 crumb + 1 coffee roll + 1 apple turnover + 1 maple), and were going to get a milk, but their “cow wasn't working” (their words), and we had milk (aka a working cow) at home anyways. The donuts were stellar, this was our first time trying Eddie's, but it's easy to tell that they really put an emphasis on the donut-making process here, no frills required (they do also have frills though, if that's your bag, baby). Lastly, with Halloween coming to the STL area this weekend, we thought we would leave you with a donut joke we just came up with: what is the difference between a Donut and a Doughnut? Ugh. Peace!
