Blues City Deli
Hello darkness, our old friend. We've come to talk with you again, because our 46th episode of #CarryoutComedy here @STLTonite is ready to debut. This week, we were feeling blue, so we leaned into it, and visited Blues City Deli in Benton Park, to turn over a new leaf; fall just means the Blues are back (oh baby)! With several sandwiches that will have you (not just Panger) shouting, “holy jumpin'!” it was difficult for us to land on the Thunderbird (turkey, pastrami, cappicola, bacon, and provel, with tomato, onion, pepperoncini, and boom boom sauce, on a hoagie) + the Prez Pastrami Reuben (pastrami and swiss, with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing, on rye), but we knew we had to... stick the landing, with hockey season fast approaching. As far as the SPACE goes, we appreciate how well organized everything is inside for traffic flow, in addition to how they utilize their sidewalk space as an added patio (deli meat is best enjoyed with Al Fresco, and he always sits outside). In summary, we went Blues, hope you'll follow our clues, from one of our many reviews, eat a sandwich you can't refuse, tell us what you choose, and spread the news. Peace!
