Bogart’s Smokehouse
*Record Scratch* Yep, that's us. You're probably wondering how we ended up in this situation. Well, it all started a few days ago, when we needed to come up with another local restaurant to review for our 66th (CAN YOU DIG IT?) installment of #CarryoutComedy. We quickly realized that it had been far too long since our last BBQ review for this segment, so we went with a St. Louis staple, Bogart's Smokehouse in Soulard; a member of the Pappy's family (along with Southern, and Dalie's... can we join?) of restaurants here in STL, they serve up Memphis and St. Louis Style BBQ to a T (hold up, what's the origin of that phrase? We looked it up, it dates back to the late 1600's, and may have been a shortened version, of a related phrase, “to a title.” The More You Know). Anywho, for our order, we sent it, and got a full rack of ribs (for Fat Tuesday), which came with 2 sides (we went with pit beans, and sweet and sour slaw). The ribs were amazing, with ample seasoning to boot (we'll look up that phrase's origin another time), we also like that they have a ton of patio SPACE for dining al fresco, which is how BBQ is supposed to be enjoyed, of course! Speaking of that, time for us to sign off, and go catch the last rays of this beautiful day, thanks for joining us. Peace!
