Kevin’s Place
Greetings Earthlings! Episode 11 of #CarryoutComedy is actually our 1st time doing a recommendation (please feel free to send us some, our research and development department is still mostly development), and our 2nd time doing a pizza place. We started this segment to support local small businesses here in St. Louis, and it doesn't get much smaller than a one man pizza joint, which is exactly what Kevin's Place in Northampton is. Kevin does it all here; he answers the phone, takes orders, cooks, cleans, delivers, entertains, and then some (we're pretty sure he lives there, too). If sometimes that leads to strange encounters of the third kind, then that just adds to the personality of the business (seriously, go lookup some of these stories, they're hilarious). On this evening, we found Kevin to be in a very pleasant mood (he said it was probably because a lot of people were ordering carry-out so he didn't have to deliver in the snow). We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza with a side of sweet and spicy wings. The food was amazing, some of the best pizza and wings we've ever had, which is really saying something in this city. It's not a big place, so we didn't get to spend a ton of time there with the pandemic, but it is a cool space for sure. Tucked right into the neighborhood, it's his own Pizza Planet (not like the one in Toy story, that place was unreal. We say that because we actually got to go to what we thought was the real Pizza Planet in Disney's MGM studios, and it was basically just a cafeteria with a couple Shoot'n Hoops games, which don't get us wrong, is a great game, but c'mon, we expected an epic space arcade!). Sorry for spacing out again. We'll be going back to Kevin's Place often, great recommendation. Keep them coming. Peace!
