Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

Hey there! It's time again for more Carry-out Comedy, our 10th edition brings us to Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, located in Rock Hill at 9748 Manchester Road. This enterprise (a space word, and a St. Louis word) has been in business for over 50 years now, so we wanted to see how they were operating after their Cinquenta, and in the midst of a global pandemic. Online ordering was very simple (we're getting pretty good at it), with a lot of options, so we are going to skip ahead to when we picked up. One of the first things we noticed was all of the tents outside on the patio for added capacity, a smart choice during the pandemic, and not their first time employing this tactic in the winter; you can rest assured that not only will they keep a safe social distance, but that they already have all of the processes in place to keep things running smoothly as well. For our order, we got the barbacoa street tacos, fajita steak top shelf quesadilla, a signature margarita to-go, and an extra order of chips with a jar of their house salsa (we were pretty excited to try the house salsa. It was really smooth with the right amount of spice, but I guess we were just a little disappointed because it didn't taste like a house). In all seriousness, the food was stellar, a cosmic experience to say the least. Our only regret is that we didn't get to enjoy the space for as long as we usually do (our favorite spot is that inner atrium/sunroom), but we'll be back (and called dibs on our spot), so at least we have that to look forward to. Thank you so much for all of your hard work to stay open and operating with such class under all of the circumstances, it truly is inspiring and we wish you the best in your future endeavours (another space word). Peace!
