Gus’ Pretzels
Yo! Thank you so much for joining us again for more Carry-out Comedy on this very fine #TakeoutTuesday. Today marks the 9th installment of this venture, the experience has been far-out to say the least. Our brains were twisted trying to choose another place, so we had to go with Gus' Pretzels, you are what you eat as they say. They (as in Gus', not as in the they that say) are located across the highway from the Anheuser Busch Brewery on 1820 Arsenal Street, which is coincidentally the year they first opened. Just kidding! For serious, though, we went with a couple pretzel sandwiches, the Salsiccia (pronounced Sal-see-cha) and the Jalepeno Pepper Jack Bratwurst; additionally, we ordered 3 pretzel sticks and cheddar cheese (these pretzels were making us thirsty so we had to get something to drink, too). As far as carry-out goes during the pandemic, everything is pretty routine here. You walk in, view the pretzel making process on your left, wait in the line, place your order, get your food, walk around the Benton Park area (weather permitting!), and forget about everything bad happening in the world for a bit. Let the pretzels take you to a better place, you deserve it! We're done here. Peace!
