Corner 17
Good day, y'all! It is time for our 8th installment of Carry-out Comedy, and this time we will be reviewing Corner 17 (a name that implies the existence of at least 16 other unique corners) in the Loop. This is our first time reviewing Asian cuisine, but not our first time visiting Corner 17. The irony of reviewing them during quarantine is that one of our favorite aspects of the restaurant is the interior design (we love all the green), and the ability to watch the noodles being made while you're waiting for your food (scientifically proven to make your food taste better). Oh well, no use crying over spilled coconut milk. Speaking of, nothing was going to stop us from getting our coconut boba tea and pulled noodles (not even the Loop Trolley). We also did the stir fry with chicken, and had them throw in an order of crab rangoon as well. This place has one of the deepest menus in town, (we usually take a long look at it, perusing all of the pages, pictures, and possibilities, only to go with our regular old order; those that are more adventurous will have plenty of options to choose from, though) you can find it online, where you can also place your order. For pick-up they have a walk-up window, you can text them when you get there to check on the status, or wait and they'll text you when it's ready. We are happy to report that we had a great carry-out experience, the food and tea was phenomenal as always! With the Chinese New Year fast approaching, now is a great time to celebrate with some Corner 17 (we are ready for the year of the Ox to begin, but more ready for the year of the Rat to be over). Uh oh, looks like tea time is over. We'll see you next time. Peace!
