Love at First Bite

Whaddup? We appreciate you returning, yet again, for another weekly installment of #CarryoutComedy! Today we are reviewing Love at First Bite, our first foray into the St. Ann area (we've done plenty of air recon flying in and out of Lambert, tho), so we are very happy to be expanding our food map (we'll come up with a better name for it) here. Located off of St. Charles Rock Road, this is a new restaurant, Black-owned, that opened during the pandemic, and so far is still carryout only (our type). We peeped the menu online, and went with the Smash Burger (5oz butter burger, beef bacon, bacon jam, lettuce, onion) + the Sweet Potato Palooza (dessert fries, topped with maple syrup, candied pecans, craisins, marshmallow sauce, + cheesecake drizzle). We are going to focus on the fries; going in, we weren't quite sure what to expect, but after a couple of bites, we were pretty sure we were eating some of the best pancakes we've ever had, and completely forgot they were sweet potatoes (for serious, we went borderline crazy for them, but it's ok because we have a passport)! Anyways, this place has a super deep menu (pictured), with a lot of other “sammiches”, in addition to a ton of BBQ, and myriads of other choices. The SPACE is setup very well and enhances the focus on the food itself, we look forward to trying the rest of the menu, in addition to seeing how they will evolve with places opening up. Good luck with everything and we'll see you soon for another bite. Peace!
