Sweetie Cup Thai Cafe

Greeting Earthlings and welcome back everyone for our 13th episode of #CarryoutComedy! As a news organization, we have been growing deeply concerned about the recent rise of anti-Asian hate (we wish there was something clever or witty we could say to fix it immediately, don't get us wrong, we are absolutely going to try to find it; however, it's probably going to take a lifelong commitment to become better cultured in order to #StopAsianHate) so for this installment we decided to visit one of our favorite Thai restaurants in town, Sweetie Cup Thai Cafe! Located in the Shoppes at 7 Oaks near the intersection of Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend, this family-owned business really felt like the best choice for this segment to end Black History Month with (Hey, wait a minute! Didn't y'all just say this was about anti-Asian hate? Yep! We learned a lot about instersectionality in the streets last summer watching all of the protests). We peeped the menu online and decided on the pineapple fried rice with chicken (medium spice level), and a green tea bubble tea (necessary after a long weekend). Everything was phenomenal, made fresh, and ready very promptly! We are grateful for the opportunity, as they say, to get a glimpse at everything Thailand has to offer, and hopeful (as we say) for the future of our city when we see a business like this thriving. Best wishes going forward, and we will see you soon for more good food. Peace!
