World’s Fair Donuts

It's August 17th, and you know what that means, it's time to go nuts for donuts here, since it's our 38th installment of #CarryoutComedy, and that's what we got! World's Fair Donuts is located at 1904 (same as the World's Fair) South Vandeventer Ave, right down the street from the Missouri Botanical Garden (in case you need to walk it off). We went with 4 donuts (1 red velvet cake + 1 buttermilk cake + 1 cinnamon long john + 1 vanilla long john), and some chocolate milk to balance the force, as they say in a galaxy far far away. Speaking of SPACE, we really dig the commitment to history here, especially after reopening last year, it def creates that iconic donut shop vibe we are lucky to have quite a FAIR amount of in the Lou. Donuts are front and center here, of course, fridge to the right, and cash register to the left (yes, they are cash only; fortunately, we had some duckets on us, so we tossed them their way). The donuts were fantastic, as always, we really just regret not getting more, specifically, of the jelly and custard filled variety. Add it to our long list of reasons to make a re-return (HIMYM joke IYKYK).
