Bluewood Brewing and Mac’s Local Eats

Greetings Earthlings, and thank you for embarking with us on our 4th edition of Carry-out Comedy! For this adventure, we decided to stop by Bluewood Brewing and Mac's Local Eats, to see how they are getting by in the quarantine (Cam's madvertisement on Facebook was super-effective). This is our first time reviewing a brewery, so we wanted to choose the one with the coolest space in the city (once again, we love space here @STLTONiTE). The patio at Bluewood did not disappoint (never does), it is well-ventilated and heated, which makes it one of the coolest places to chill in the city. They have plenty of options for getting that sweet, sweet sustenance you crave; you can order online through their website, and either have it delivered locally, for a small fee, or pick it up at the bar in the patio, where they take walk-ups, too (Pro-Tip: If you're going to pickup, take a picture of the order receipt. That way you don't have to waste people's time trying to log into your school email, on your phone, for the first time in years, just to see that you indeed, never placed that order genius). After we worked through the technical difficulties on our end (thanks for your patience), we went with (3) 4-packs of cans to-go: Chasing Sunset, Crush, and Space Dentist (great name!). Then we hopped back in the space ship, and zipped on over to the Mac's drive-thru/curbside setup. Everything there was very smooth, stream-lined, and safe for everyone involved. The whole process took us about 15 minutes (fastest we have ever gotten Mac's before, thanks COVID for obliterating lines). We got our classic order: the Louie Burger and Red Hot Riplet Fries. The food, the beer, and the entire experience was to die for, so don't let the quarantine keep you away. Make the trip out to the Benton Park area, and visit a couple of great businesses that have made it their purpose to support the STL area. Keep up the amazing work, we'll see you all at the block party we are sure you will throw after all of this is over. Peace!
