Fire Chicken
G'day, mate! If you're feeling down/under the weather, we've got just what you need with our 23rd episode of #CarryoutComedy! For this week's installment, we decided to visit Fire Chicken on Page Avenue, another new place, that opened during the pandemic, that we've been meaning to try for a while (kind of a theme here for us). This is a pickup/delivery concept (for now, #StayTuned for updates), so we ordered online using the seamless app, but you can also call in your order, or place it at the pickup window, inside on the left-side of the building. If you don't want to go pick it up, you can also just get it delivered using Uber Eats/Postmates/Door Dash/Zippy Food/etc. (ok, you got us, Zippy Food isn't real, but we're manifesting over here, and just saw Tenet on HBO Max last weekend, so it's only a matter of time now). Back to our order, we got the Chicken gangjung (spicy) + rice + soda. If you don't know what gangjung is, that's cool, we looked it up for you; it's a Korean dish that roughly translates to, “a vastly superior way to cook chicken.” We found that to be a perfect translation, and are really glad we got to try it out here in St. Louis! If you're able to make it through the gauntlet of fast food places on Page Ave (seriously, they have everything you can imagine on that strip), Fire Chicken is the reward you deserve. Thanks for a great meal, and we can't wait to see what you all have in store when things open all the way up. Peace!
