Nomad and Tamm Avenue Bar
Woof, woof! We are back from the Moon (momentarily, of course!) to deliver you another installment of #CarryoutComedy! Our 24th episode fittingly brings us to the Dogtown neighborhood (a great place to orbit around BTW), where we stopped by Tamm Avenue Bar to try Nomad (their in-house kitchen that took the SPACE formerly occupied by Mac's Local Eats). This spot has been highly recommended to us, by multiple people, so it was only a matter of time before we gave it a try. We began our journey by navigating to their website, which is powered by Square (an STL based company), and very easy to order on. We decided on the Dumpster Fire (2 heritage pork patties, bacon, pimento cheese, lettuce, onion, and pickles, on a brioche bun) + fries + a drink. The food had us feeling Nomad, all happy (bad joke, sure, but could be a good slogan, feel free to use it), and we are already dreaming of making a return trip to try the Pastrami Poutine. We are big fans of places like this that creatively use SPACE in ways that enhance businesses, and the communities around them; they remodeled and improved upon the store layout before the pandemic, not only cutting down on the lines that would snake through the bar area, but also giving it a classic feel with a snazzy black + white tile floor. Very cool! Go check them out if you haven't already, you won't regret it. Peace!
