Steve’s Hot Dogs
Howdy-do everyone, and thank you for joining us, for yet another trek into the vast wilderness, better known as, St. Louis, Missouri! Episode 15 of #CarryoutComedy brings us to Steve's Hot Dogs, located in Tower Grove off of South Grand, right next to the Tick Tock Tavern (a bar we will actually be spending a lot of time at, because, as you well know, we are working on building up our TikTok!) For our order we went with the Gorilla Mac and Cheese Dog (topped with bacon and French's fried onions), and the Stormtrooper Dog (topped with rotini alfredo, shaved parmesan, bacon, and crispy fried onions) with a Pepsi. The hot dogs were out of this world, they really hit the spot (that's an interesting phrase, isn't it? We looked it up, and apparently it used to just mean hit the target with an arrow, until Pepsi used it in their 1940's ad jingles, “Pepsi Cola hits the spot, 12 full ounces that's a lot”). Back to reality, the carry-out experience was phenomenal; it was actually a perfect day, so we only regret not chilling on the patio (was picking up solo so didn't want to be eating dessert alone like I'm f'ing Steven Glansburg). Anyways, we want to give a big thank you to Steve Ewing and company for all they are doing for the STL area, #FeedThePeople is a great initiative that is providing meals for frontline workers and people in need in our community. To learn more check out their website, and hey, while you're there, order some hot dogs, and support a great black-owned business that we are immensely proud to have in St. Louis. You won't regret it. Peace!
