The Shaved Duck

Hiya folks! Thank you for returning for our 16th installment of #CarryoutComedy, this week we are getting some BBQ and reviewing The Shaved Duck Smokehouse in Tower Grove. According to their website, other than BBQ, they are all about Folk and Soul; unfortunately, we were just doing carryout, and only in the restaurant for a minute, so we're just going to have to take their word for it (their word is banjo btw so yeah that is pretty folksy, actually). Anyways, for our order we went with a full rack of ribs, with baked beans and burnt ends. The food was celestial, and the carryout process could not have been more seamless. We may not have been in the restaurant for long, but we were still able to experience enough folklore to feel like an old cardigan under someone's bed. Also, we noticed the covered seating outside for added space, so you can rest assured that this place will put in the extra effort to accommodate your needs during the pandemic. As for our experience, there was a Blues game on, and our minds were on duck franchises, so we couldn't help but think about the Mighty Ducks movie trilogy, and what a roller-coaster that was to be on during our younger years (seriously, these kids went from the worst team in Philadelphia, to winning a world championship as Team USA, and then on to a junior varsity team at a boarding school they all had to attend for some reason. That's classic Bombay for ya) Oops, sorry for the space out! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the carryout experience and can't wait to get back out and dine in with you all after we get the vaccine. Thank you so much for all of your efforts to stay open and serve the St. Louis community. See you soon. Peace!
